F*cking each other's brains out, eating wings and laying up watching Netflix is NOT an example of a productive black relationship. Having Black Love does not mean compromising your standards…ever. Please understand this well. Black love and nation building does not settle in mediocre unions or fruitless relationships. What do I mean by that? When we are dating and seeking our mate, we must have a dating objective and purpose to every partnership we choose to entertain in our lives.

What is a Builder?

1. Someone who is invested in your success.

2. An individual dedicated to economic/financial empowerment.

3. Actively studies individually, as a couple and finds ways to improve your lifestyle.

4. Wants to create a healthy partnership and structure for you, family and offspring.

5. Is forward thinking and solves problems instead of complaining about them.

6. One who is courting you with the intention of marriage, pro-creating, and nation building.

What is a "Bae"?

1. Is interested in lots of partying, entertainment and distractions.

2. Would rather spend disposable income instead of saving.

3. Does not invest in you or your future. (financially or otherwise)

4. Engages in activities that would lead to pro-creation w/o being in committed relationship. (also see casual sex)

5. Has no resources to support your hopes and dreams.

6. A person that is there merely for convenience and perceived security.

{Please note: You may be pre-disposed to attracting a "Bae" if the following applies to you:}

  • You're currently unhappy in your personal or professional life.

  • You feel stuck, stagnant and don't know how to get what you really want

  • You're vulnerable after a traumatic life event or break-up.
  • You are someone that will stick with an unfulfilling situation just for "history sake" or sentiment.

  • You aren't satisfied with your physical appearance or have low self-esteem

  • You feel like your clock is ticking on having children, marriage, etc.

We all have to collectively raise our standards. It's time we bring back the original code our ancestors left that created empires from strong, healthy family units. If not, it's best to stay single. Maybe then we will return to the love we once shared in the black community.

If you're truly ready to build and live an abundant life, we need to talk
